Currently, she works as a Lecturer in Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universidad de Sevilla (Seville, Spain). Her main research interest is the toxicological assessment of different types of substances, such as cyanotoxins, food additives, insecticides, etc., that may exist in foods and the environment. She has vast experience in the application of different in vitro and in vivo methods for the evaluation of the toxicity of substances using international OECD protocols recommended by EFSA.

Prof. Dr. Angeles Jos is a Professor of Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Seville, Seville, Spain. Her research activity focuses on cyanobacterial toxins of interest in food safety (analytical–toxicological aspects, mechanisms of action, etc.) using in vitro and in vivo experimentation, evaluations of the toxicity of nanomaterials (carbon nanotubes, nanoclays, etc.) with applications in food packaging, and evaluations of the toxicity of chemical substances (heavy metals, organic compounds, etc.) of interest in food safety.
