Dr. Kaushik Das is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. He received his PhD at the University of Calcutta, India. After learning about the JGP Fellowship, he became a fellow with the program in 2022. His project seeks to elucidate the role of FVIIa-released endothelial extracellular vesicles in hemophilia therapy. He specifically examines novel mechanisms by which FVIIa provides hemostatic and anti-inflammatory effects and the relevance of these mechanisms in treating bleeding disorders and hemophilic arthropathy. His research interests include microRNA; extracellular vesicles; cancer; blood coagulation; immunology; etc.
