Author Biographies

Prathana Nathan is an Internal Medicine Resident at the London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), Western University, Ontario. Prathana Nathan obtained an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Sciences at Dalhousie University in 2018. Prathana Nathan completed the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Western University in July 2022 and received an MD from Dalhousie University in 2022. Prathana Nathan served as a teaching assistant at Dalhousie University from September 2016 to April 2017 and from September 2017 to April 2018. Prathana Nathan studied as a Summer Research Student at the IWK Health Centre from May to August 2017.
Adnan Rajeh graduated from medical school at the University of Damascus, Syria. He completed his internal medicine residency at Western University, Ontario, and is currently a PGY5 and Chief Resident of the Medical Oncology Program at Western University. He is completing an additional year of fellowship in genitourinary cancers under the co-supervision of Dr. Maleki (Division of Experimental Oncology) and Dr. Ricardo Fernandes (Division of Medical Oncology), with a focus on different translational and clinical research fields in GU cancers.
Meh Noor graduated from the University of Toronto in 2022. Meh Noor is a Medical Student in Internal Medicine at the London Health Sciences Centre, Western University, and now is PostGrad Yr 2. Meh Noor is one of the 2019/2020 RECS Scholarship Recipients for free work at the Community Health Education for Refugees and Immigrants (CHERI), which is a preventative health education clinic for newcomers without health insurance.

Ricardo Fernandes is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Oncology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, Ontario. He is a Medical Oncologist at the London Regional Cancer Program, London Health Sciences Centre. He received an MD from Gama Filho University in 2004. He completed a residency in Clinical Hematology at the Pedro Ernesto University Hospital from 2007 to 2009 and was a resident in Medical Oncology at the Santa Marcelina Hospital from 2009 to 2012. He served as a Medical Oncologist at the OncoHemato Outpatient Clinic from 2012 to 2014. He worked as a Clinical Research Fellow in Medical Oncology at the Ottawa Hospital from 2014 to 2016 and as a Clinical Research Fellow in Early Phase Trials at the Oxford University Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust from 2016 to 2017. His research interests include breast and genitourinary cancers, early- and late-phase clinical trials, immunotherapy, cancer and biomarkers, and microbiome studies.
