Dr. Serena Fragiotta serves at the Neurosciences,
Mental Health and Sense Organs (NESMOS) Department, Faculty of Medicine and
Psychology, University of Rome Sapienza, Rome, Italy. She earned her Medical
Degree from the University of Rome Sapienza. Her main research focus is diabetic
retinopathy.
Dr Barmak Abdolrahimzadeh completed his MD degree in medicine and surgery and his ophthalmology specialist training at Rome University Sapienza, Italy . He then practiced in Italy until 2019 as a comprehensive consultant ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon with specialist interests in medical retina.
In 2019 he moved to the united kingdom and was appointed as Consultant ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon with a special interest in medical retina at Northwest ophthalmology PPG Greater Manchester UK .
In 2022 he was promoted to medical lead for macular services at Practice plus group ophthalmology and currently leads the services of the medical retina and macular clinic at the Rochdale clinic and 4 macular mobile units in North west UK specialized in the treatment of macular diseases.
He has always maintained an interest in research and teaching during his career and has published regularly in the medical literature. He has also regularly been a speaker at numerous medical courses and congresses.
Dr. Alessandra Marino is a researcher at the Neurosciences, Mental Health, and Sense Organs (NESMOS) Department, Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, University of Rome Sapienza
and performs clinical practice at the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Sant'Andrea, Roma, Italy. She received a qualification to practice the profession of Dentistry from the University of Rome Sapienza in 1994. In 2000, she obtained a Specialization diploma in orthodontics with a score of 70/70 cum laude.
Dr. Massimiliano Sepe is the Head of the Ophthalmology Unit at the Department of Surgical Areas, S.M. Goretti Hospital, Latina, Italy. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart Rome with a score of 110 out of 110 with honors. At the same university, he qualified to practice the medical profession in the second session in 1992 and obtained a Specialization Diploma in Ophthalmology in 1998. His interests are Ophthalmic Ultrasound, Corneal Surgery, Anterior Segment, Posterior Segment, and Maculopathy Therapy.
