Horňáková Ľubica (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) is currently working as a Medical Doctor at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, Division of Surgery, Orthopaedics, Radiology, and Reproduction. Ľubica’s skills and expertise include veterinary diagnostics, veterinary science, veterinary internal medicine, small animals, veterinary surgery, small animal surgery, veterinary ophthalmology, and veterinary obstetrics.
Valenčáková Alexandra is currently working as an Associate Professor at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, Biology and Physiology. Alexandra’s research is focused on spores of microsporidia and oocysts of cryptosporidium spp. that have been detected in surface water, groundwater, tertiary agricultural effluent, and soil and the spores are usually resistant to environmental degradation and may retain infectivity for a long time. Skills and expertise include immunology, molecular biology, infectious disease epidemiology, ELISA, PCR, public health, cell culture, cell biology, antibodies, and immunofluorescence.

Prof. Cizkova Dasa is a Professor at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice and a Head of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Center Excellence for Brain Research. He earned his Ph.D. degree at the University of Veterinary Medicine and served as a Post-Doctorate at the Medical Faculty, Komenius University. His research is focused on pathomechanisms of neurodegeneration/regeneration caused by ischemic/traumatic CNS injury and other neurodegenerative disorders. The main interest is in the therapeutic strategies limiting secondary damage and neuroinflammation and in stem cell/spinal progenitors therapy seeded in biomaterials or alone to restore damaged neural tissue, stimulate endogenous regeneration, and improve functional recovery via exosomes. A broad field of research is currently aimed at the field of cancer immunotherapy.
