David K. Lerner is an otolaryngologist affiliated with the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He received his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a resident and otolaryngologist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from 2018 to 2023 and completed his rhinology and skull base surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2024.
Dr. James N. Palmer is a professor of otorhinolaryngology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also the fellowship director of rhinology and skull base surgery, the director of the division of rhinology, Department of Otorhinolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, and the co-director of the Penn Center for Cranial Base Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago in 1990 and his M.D. from Ohio State University in 1995. He finished an internship in general surgery from 1995 to 1996 and a residency in otolaryngology-HNS from 1996 to 2000 at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He received a certification from the American
Board of Otolaryngology in 2001. His current research interests are bacterial biofilms in sinusitis and closure of skull base defects.
