Dr. Seongjoon Park is an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Nagasaki University School of Medicine (since 2012). He completed his MS from Pusan National University in 2005 and a Ph.D. from Nagasaki University in 2009. From 2009 to 2012, he worked as a research associate at the Department of Metabolism and Aging, Scripps Institute. His research interests include life sciences, molecular biology, longevity, aging, adipose tissue metabolism, and the life-extending effect of dietary restriction.
Dr. Isao Shimokawa was a professor at the Department of Pathology, Nagasaki University School of Medicine, until January 2023 and is currently an emeritus professor at Nagasaki University. He earned his MS and Ph.D. from Nagasaki University in 1982 and 1986. From 1988 to 1990, he worked as a research assistant at the Department of Physiology, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His research interests include pathology, FoxO transcription factor, health span, calorie restriction, aging, and gerontology.
