Rosa Silva became an Assistant professor at the Health Sciences Institute of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto, from 2012 to 2020. She collaborated in several curricular units in the context of the degree in nursing, specialization course in mental health and psychiatrics, and in the Master's degree in Gerontology and Geriatric Care. She became a Junior researcher at the Health Sciences Research Unit: Nursing (UICISA: E), of the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC)) during 2020 to 2022. She became an Assistant professor at Porto Nursing School in 2022. She got her post doctorate in citizen science (2023); and a PhD in Nursing (2022). She is a specialist in Nursing of Mental Health and Psychiatric. She has a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Supervision and a Master’s in nursing. She is a member of the Portugal Centre for Evidence-Based Practice: A Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Centre of Excellence (PCEBP); a Member of the editorial board of Revista Referência em Enfermagem, and an Associate Editor of the JBI Evidence Synthesis. Her main research areas are mental health and older adults, e.g.: mild cognitive impairment and dementia and non-pharmacological intervention (such as cognitive stimulation, robotherapy). She also has expertise in the areas of open and citizen science, as well as secondary review methodologies.
Luís Carvalho holds a Doctorate in Education Sciences (2003), a Master's degree in Nursing Sciences (1996), and is a specialist in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing (1992). He has been the President of the Porto School of Nursing (ESEP) since 2018, where he also serves as a Coordinator Professor. He is a researcher in the Clinical Supervision for the Care Safety and Quality (SAFECARE) research project and a member of the research units UNIESEP and CINTESIS. He serves as the Vice President of the Academic Network for Health Sciences of the Lusophone Community (RACS). He coordinates the curricular units of Health Information (CLE) and Clinical Context Training (Master's in Clinical Supervision). He was a member of the National Health Council from 2019 to 2023. He served as the President of the Technical Scientific Council of the Porto School of Nursing (2013-2017) and the D. Ana Guedes School of Nursing (2003-2006). He was the Coordinator of the Nursing Degree Program. He has supervised several completed doctoral theses (21) and ongoing ones (4) and Master's dissertations (34), and has acted as an examiner for various doctoral and Master's theses in the scientific areas of Nursing and Education. He has authored books, numerous articles in specialized journals, organized events, and delivered various presentations at conferences.
Cristina Barroso Pinto completed Didactics and training at the University of Aveiro in 2011. She is an Adjunct Professor at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto. She has published 9 articles in specialized magazines and 11 works in event proceedings, and has published 13 book chapters. She has 64 technical production items. She participated in 12 events abroad and 65 in Portugal. She supervised three Master's theses in the area of Health Sciences. She has received one award and/or honor. Between 2008 and 2016, she participated in three research projects. She is currently participating in two research projects. She works in the areas of Medical Sciences, with an emphasis on Health Sciences, and Social Sciences, with an emphasis on Educational Sciences. In her professional activities, she has interacted with 27 collaborators in co-authoring scientific works. Her research interests include Nursing, Quality of Care, Safety of Care, and Clinical Supervision.
