Maxim Shevtsov, Medical Doctor,
Ph.D., is currently a Senior Researcher at Klinikum rechts der Isar, Technical
University of Munich (Germany), and a Professor at Far Eastern Federal University (Vladivostok, Russia). He recieved his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in medicine from I.P. Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg (Russia) and is a specialist in neuro-surgery at A.L. Polenov Russia Research Scientific Institution of
Neurosurgery (St. Petersburg, Russia). He wrote his Ph.D. thesis (2013) at the
Institute of Cytology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) (St. Petersburg,
Russia) under the supervision of Dr.Sci. Boris Margulis. In 2021, he received a
degree of Dr.Sci. at the Institute of Cytology of the Russian Academy of
Sciences (RAS) (St. Petersburg, Russia) for the thesis "Membrane-Associated Heat Shock Protein HSP70 as a Target for Diagnosis and Treatment of Malignant
Tumors”. His main focus of research is the basic study of the role of heat shock proteins, particularly Hsp70, in tumorigenesis, tumor cell invasion, and metastasis.
