Author Biographies

Dr. Panagiota Tragantzopoulou is currently working as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton. She also serves as an external examiner at the University of Essex. Since 2021, she has been a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences, University of Westminster, London, UK. From 2020 to 2021, she was a Special Education Counselor at Stirixis, Therapeutic Counseling Unit. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Westminster, an MA in Education (Psychology) from the UCL Institute of Education, and an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby. Her research has a particular focus on qualitative research, body image, and eating disorders. She is also contributing to other research projects focusing on chronic illnesses, social media, mental health, psychopathology, carer support, psychotherapy, and therapeutic integration.
Vaitsa Giannouli, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroscience at the School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the European University Cyprus, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Department of Psychology, University of Western Macedonia. Her research interests are focused on, but not limited to, neuropsychology, geropsychology, biopsychology, and cognitive psychology. She received a B.S. and M.S. in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a M.S. in Health Care Management from Hellenic Open University. Prior to her current position, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Neurobiology and School of Medicine, University of Ioannina, Greece.
