Dr. Alan N. Engelman is a Professor in the
Department of Cancer Immunology and Virology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute,
Boston, MA, USA. He received his PhD in 1990 from Tufts University School of
Medicine and his postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Diabetes,
Digestive, and Kidney Diseases. He holds additional appointments in the Center for
Virology and Vaccine Research at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in
Boston and is an Affiliated Faculty member at the Department of Microbiology, Harvard
Medical School, in Boston. He joined DFCI in 1995; there, he conducts research
on the mechanism of HIV-1 integration and teaches PhD candidates in the
graduate program in virology at Harvard Medical School.
