Xianglu Rong, Ph.D., Professor of TCM Pharmacology at Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, Executive Deputy Director of the Guangdong Metabolic Disease Research Center of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, and Executive Vice President of the Chinese Medicine Research Institute at Guangdong Pharmaceutical University. In 2003, he graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine with a doctor's degree in Chinese pharmacy. He was a research assistant at the School of Chinese Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2001) and a visiting scholar at the Faculty of Medicine at Kyoto University, Japan (2007-2010). He is also the vice chairman of the Research Institute Working Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrated Traditional Medicine, a standing member of the Education Working Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrated Traditional Medicine, and the Executive Deputy Secretary General of the Metabolic Disease Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. Additionally, he is an editorial board member of "Pharmacology and Clinic of Chinese Medicine", "New Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology of Chinese Medicine", and "TMR modern herbal medicine".
