Mark Hedrick received his BS from West Virginia Wesleyan, Buckhannon in 1983; an M.Ed. from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville in 1986; and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University, Nashville in 1991. He is a professor at the University of Tennessee. His research interests mainly focus on the perception of speech by individuals with hearing loss.
Ahmed Bettaieb received his BS in reproductive biology from the Faculty of Center, Monastir, Tunisia in 2001, and an MS and a Ph.D. in cancer from the University of Quebec at Montreal, Montreal, Canada in 2004 and 2009, respectively. He finished his postdoctoral study of obesity, diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases at the University of California-Davis, Davis, CA in 2011. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Nutrition, University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research interests mainly focus on genetics, nutrition, metabolism and cardiovascular diseases.
