Lan
Wang received her PhD from the Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics &
Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. From 2012 to 2019, she worked
at the Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics & Chemistry of the Chinese Academy
of Sciences as an Associate Professor. She was appointed as a Professor in 2019
at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Shaanxi University of
Science and Technology, China. Dr. Lan Wang’s career has focused on environmental
nanotechnology to conduct multidisciplinary and globally relevant research on
water treatment (e.g., advanced Fenton and Fenton-like oxidation processes and
environmental nanomaterials) and the basic understanding of nanomaterials as applied
to the elimination of environmental pollutants. To this end, she has developed
a series of 2D heterogeneous nanocatalysts via a green synthetic strategy and
applied them in wastewater treatment using an advanced oxidation process. To date,
she has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and applied for
15 patents. As a PI or co-PI, she has been responsible for more than 15 grants,
including grants from the Natural Science Foundation of China.
