Prof. Dr. Alin Laurentiu Tatu is a chartered
dermatologist and has a doctorate from Carol Davila University of Medicine and
Pharmacy, Bucharest. He is a tutor with the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy,
University of Galati (Dunarea de Jos University), Romania, in the university’s
pharmaceutical cosmetology and dermatology course for medical students. He is a
laser safety officer, a malpraxis prevention expert in medicine, and a national
expert in Dermatology. In addition, he serves on several national and
international committees relating to dermatology. He is a board director of the
International Society of Dermatology; and is a member of several editorial
boards for scientific journals. He is a member of the Profesional and
Scientific Committee of the Romanian College of Physicians Galati County. He
acted as a consultant, expert witness, and technical advisor to the medical device
industry and pharmaceutical companies. His research interests include
endosymbionts, rosacea, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, wound healing, reflectance confocal microscopy, and optical coherence tomography.
