Dr. Kai Keng Ang is a Signal Processing
Group Leader and a Senior Principal Scientist I at the Institute for Infocomm
Research, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore. He is also an
Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang
Technology University, Singapore. He received a Bachelor of Applied Science
degree (with first-class honors) and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering
from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was a senior software
engineer with Delphi Automotive Systems Singapore Pte Ltd. working on embedded
software for automotive engine controllers from 1999 to 2003. He won first in
the EEG datasets of BCI Competition IV in 2008, received the IES Prestigious
Engineering Achievement Award in 2009, and the BCI Annual Research Award in
2010. He also received the A*STAR Star Mentor Award in 2023 and was listed in
the World's Top 2% Scientists published by Stanford University in 2022. His
research interests include brain-computer interface, computational
intelligence, machine learning, pattern recognition, and signal processing.
