Dr. Anca-Narcisa Neagu is an associate professor at the Laboratory of Animal Histology, Faculty of Biology, ”Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Romania. She obtained both her Bachelor’s degree in Biology (1995) and her Master’s degree in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (1996) at the ”Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi. From 1997 to 1998, she worked as a research assistant and then as an assistant lecturer at the same university. In 2004, she obtained a doctoral degree in Biology at the University of Bucharest, Romania, and she became an assistant professor (2005–2023). Her research interests include histology, microscopy, bioindicators of water quality, molecular biology (proteomics), and the investigation of protein biomarkers for breast cancer.
Prof. Dr. Costel C. Darie has been working as an Assistant Professor (2009–2015), Associate Professor (2015–2022), and Full Professor (since 2022) at the Biochemistry and Proteomics Laboratories, Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Science, Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY, USA. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Biochemistry at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the Albert-Ludwigs Universitaet of Freiburg, Germany in 2002. He was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Brookdale Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology in 2003, an Assistant Research Scientist at the Skirball Institute, New York University School of Medicine in 2006, and an Associate Scientist at the Department of Oncology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2008. His research interests are analytical biochemistry, protein chemistry, mass spectrometry, and proteomics.
