Dr. Andreas F. Mavrogenis studied Medicine and Orthopaedics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He is currently a professor at the First Department of Orthopaedics of Attikon University Hospital, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece. His clinical and research interests include musculoskeletal tumor surgery, traumatology, and reconstruction surgery, and he is prolific the fields of medical writing and editing.
Dr. Kanya Honoki is a professor and the Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Oncology and Reconstructive Medicine at Nara Medical University, Japan. After acquiring a PhD degree at Nara Medical University in 1994, he finished his post-doctoral fellowship at Jefferson Medical College, USA. Since then, he has continuously devoted all of his efforts, energies, and passion to the fields of orthopedic oncology and cancer research. He has also engaged in research into cancer, stem cell biology, and regenerative and restorative medicine. He earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Newcastle, Australia, in 2007. He has also published numerous articles in the areas of cancer research, orthopedic surgery and regenerative medicine.
Prof. Akira Kido received his Ph.D. in Medicine from Nara Medical University in 1998. Today, he is a professor and the Chairman of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Nara Medical University. He is the Director of the Japanese Society of Rehabilitation Medicine, the NPO Japan Bone Metastasis Research Society, and the Japanese Society of Acute Rehabilitation Medicine. He is also the Chairman
of the Nara Prefectural Medical Association Rehabilitation Medicine Subcommittee and the Finance Committee Chairman of the Japanese Society of Rehabilitation Medicine Kinki Region. He received the Excellence Award at the 84th Jahrestagung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Pathologie in 2000 and the
Finalist Award at the 6th Combined Meeting of the Orthopaedic RESEARCH societies in 2007. His skills and expertise include oncology, tumors, metastasis, cancer biology, orthopedic surgery, clinical oncology, cancer research, mesenchymal stem cell, cell biology, and chemotherapy.
Prof. Yasuhito Tanaka received his Ph.D. in Orthopedics from Nara Medical University in 1984. Today, he is a professor and the Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at Nara Medical University. He is a Full Member of the European Foot and Ankle Society, a Corresponding Member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and the Asian Representative Director of the International Federation of Foot and Ankle Surgery (IFFAS). His research interests include hemophilic arthropathy, pediatric orthopedics, rheumatology, regenerative medicine, sports medicine, and foot and ankle surgery.
Costantino Errani was educated at the Bologna University Medical School (Bologna, Italy), and he completed his Residency at the Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli (Bologna, Italy). He has a Board Certification
in Orthopaedic Surgery (Italy and Europe). He spent one year as a research fellow at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Center (New York, USA) and completed his Ph.D. in 2012 at the University of Bologna. He is currently an orthopedic surgeon at the Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli (Bologna, Italy). His research interests include bone and soft tissue sarcomas (pediatric and adult), metastatic cancer of the bone, benign bone tumors, pelvic and sacral tumors, and skeletal and joint reconstruction.
