Author Biographies

Dr. Tobias Goecke is a Staff Physician in the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic, Transplantation, and Vascular Surgery at Hannover Medical School (MHH). He received his Degree in Medicine in 2018 and his PhD in 2019, both at Hannover Medical School, where he also obtained his license to practice medicine in 2012. His research interests include tissue regeneration, scaffold development, extracellular matrix biology, tissue engineering and xenotransplantation.

Ulrich Martin received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, and Immunology from the Leibniz Universität Hannover in 1990 and 1994, separately, and a Ph.D. from the Institute of Medical Microbiology, Hannover Medical School in 1997. He is a Full Professor at Hannover Medical School (MHH) and Director of Experimental Research at the Clinic for Cardiothoracic, Transplantation and Vascular Surgery, Hannover, Germany. His research interests mainly focus on human iPSC generation, expansion and differentiation, targeted genome engineering in vitro and in vivo, iPSC-based disease modeling, drug screening and cellular therapies.
