Dr. Liliana Szyszka-Sommerfeld was awarded the professional title of Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2006 by the Faculty of Dentistry at the Pomeranian Medical Academy in Szczecin; in 2010, the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of dentistry by the Pomeranian Medical Academy in Szczecin; in 2013, the specialist diploma in orthodontics; in 2019, the degree of Doctor of Science in the field of medicine and health science by the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. Since 2008, she has had research and teaching duties in the Department of Orthodontics of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. Her research interests include temporomandibular disorders and orthodontics.
Prof. Dr. Gianrico Spagnuolo is an Associate Professor in the School of Dentistry at the University of Naples “Federico II”. He received a D.D.S. degree at the University of Naples “Federico II” in 1997 and completed his Ph.D. in Dental Materials Biotechnology in 2002. In 2003, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Operative Dentistry and Periodontology at the University of Regensburg (Germany), and in 2006 he was an Adjunct Scientist at the same Dental School. From 2007 to 2008, he was an associate researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Biomaterials (CRIB), University of Naples “Federico II”. In 2011, he completed the three-year postgraduate program in Oral Surgery at the University of Naples “Federico II”. His research interests include the interaction between cell and tissue materials at molecular and clinical levels.
