Adriana Salles is a researcher at the University of Minho. She is an architect with over 17 years of experience in sustainable construction and healthcare projects. She also has an M.Sc. in Sustainable Construction and Rehabilitation and is a postgraduate in Project Management. As a sustainable design pioneer in consultancy and advocacy, she has been a LEED-Accredited Professional BD+C since 2009. She was a Living Building Challenge Ambassador in Brazil between 2016 and 2017. She is a consultant in sustainable building design, sustainable urban planning, and the development of sustainable strategies, with more than 200,000 sqm projects registered under LEED certification rating systems. She has experience in the implementation of integrated design processes, leading design charrettes. Her research field is focused on urban sustainability assessment and digital urban planning. She has been studying the integration of sustainability and urban circularity indicators with City Information Modelling. In her master’s, she developed a noteworthy dissertation project involving the integration of urban sustainability assessment within the city information modelling concept. She is participating in the COST Action CA21103, Implementation of the Circular Economy in the Built Environment (CircularB), holding two leadership positions: WG4 Coleader (this working group is focused on dissemination and communication) and Grant Holder Manager of the Action.

Prof. Dr. Viorel Ungureanu is a Professor of Steel Structures and Structural Mechanics at the Department of Steel Structures and Structural Mechanics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Executive Director of the Research Institute for Renewable Energy of the Politehnica University of Timisoara. He is also a Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Steel Structures of the Romanian Academy, Timisoara Branch. He is engaged in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is a Ph.D. supervisor. His main research area is in the field of structural engineering with particular expertise in steel structural members and systems, cold-formed steel structures, structural analysis and stability, numerical modelling, and sustainable constructions. He is a member of the technical committee TC7 for cold-formed thin-walled sheet steel in buildings and chairman of TC14 for Sustainability and Eco-Efficiency of Steel Construction of the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS). He is the author or coauthor of more than 350 publications, including books, chapters of books, keynote lectures, papers, and articles in international and national conferences and journals, 65 of which have been published in prestigious international journals.
Prof. Dr. Luís Bragança has a Ph.D., MSc, and Licentiate in Civil Engineering and is a Professor in the Civil Engineering Department of the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, Portugal. He is the coordinator of the international postgraduate programs in Sustainable Built Environment and the director of the Building Physics and Construction Technology Laboratory. His main areas of interest are sustainable construction development (sustainability assessment tools, lifecycle analysis, sustainable building technologies, and sustainable rehabilitation of buildings), building physics, building acoustics, and the rational use of energy in buildings. He actively participates in national and international standardizing work concerning sustainable construction, building thermal performance, and building acoustics. He has been the President of the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment since 2011. He is the author or coauthor of three registered patents and more than 400 publications, including books, chapters of books, keynote lectures, papers, and articles in international and national conferences and journals, 134 of which have been published in prestigious international journals.
