Sotiria Stavropoulou De Lorenzo is a Neurologist and a Scientific Associate at the Laboratory of Experimental Neurology and Neuroimmunology, 2nd Department of Neurology, AHEPA University Hospital, Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece. She holds a degree in Medicine from the Charles University in Prague and a master’s degree in “Neuroimmunology” from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Democritus University Thrace. She participates in the implementation of clinical studies.
Evangelia Kesidou is an Academic Fellow of the Physiology Department at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), a Postdoctoral Researcher and a Clinical Trial Study Coordinator at the 2nd Department of Neurology, AHEPA University Hospital (Thessaloniki, Greece), and a Teaching Fellow at the Masters of Neuroimmunology Program at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Medicine—Democritus University of Thrace School of Medicine. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience at the Faculty of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in 2018. She specializes in neural precursor cell cultures, Western blot analysis, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, PCR, real-time PCR, Elisa, and animal handling.
Dimitrios Parissis is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Second Department of Neurology, School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He graduated from the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in 1996 and completed his residency studies in the specialty of clinical neurology in 2004. His subspecialization concerns clinical neurophysiology, including electroencephalography, electromyography, and evoked potentials studies. A career milestone was a 6-month fellowship as an Honorary Clinical Assistant (Specialist Registrar status) at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, UCL, Queen Square, London, one of the most historical and prestigious neurological hospitals in the world. He was appointed as a Lecturer in Neurology at the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2014, whereas, in 2015, he was elected Assistant Professor of Neurology at the same institution. In the clinic, he is involved with the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic neurological disorders and has the responsibility of the Electromyography Department. Moreover, he actively participates in the educational program of the department, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as residents. His research interests cover all areas of clinical neurology with an emphasis on neuromuscular disorders.
Marina-Kleopatra Boziki has been an Assistant Professor of the 2nd Department of Neurology, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, since 2019. She completed her Ph.D. studies at the School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in 2014. Her research interests are focused on the study of neuroimaging, cognition disorders, multiple sclerosis, and neuroimmunology.
Dr. Christos Bakirtzis MD, MSc, PhD, is a neurologist. Ηe holds a Master's Degree in Social Psychiatry from Democritus University of Thrace and a Ph.D. from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He currently works in the Multiple Sclerosis Center of the Second Department of Neurology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with clinical, teaching and research duties. His academic interests include neuropsychology, neuroimaging and neuroimmunology.
Nikolaos Grigoriadis is a Professor and the Head of the Second Department of Neurology, School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Nikolaos Grigoriadis earned an M.D. degree and a Ph.D. from the School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in 1989 and 1995, respectively. Nikolaos Grigoriadis was a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Neurology and Neuroimmunology, Hadassah University Hospital (January–March 1997 and May–November 2000), a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Neurology, University of Innsbruck (August 2003), and a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Βrain Research, Neuroimmunology Branch, Medical University of Vienna (September 2006–April 2007). Nikolaos Grigoriadis served as a Resident in Neurology (1992–1996), a Lecturer in Neurology (2000–2005), an Assistant Professor in Neurology (2005–2011), and an Associate Professor in Neurology (2011–2015) at the 2nd University Neurological Department, AUTH, AHEPA University General Hospital of Thessaloniki.
