Dr. Paola Cafforio is a Biologist Research Assistant at the
University of Bari. She completed her degree in Biological Sciences at the
University of Bari (1991) and had 2-year training at the Department of
Biochemistry, Genetics, and Medical Chemistry of the University of Turin, Italy
since 1993. She has published 77 papers in various journals and served as
study coordinator in Clinical Trials. Furthermore, she got awarded a three-year
fellowship by the Italian Association on Cancer Research (AIRC) and Italian
Institute of Health. Her research interests include immunoregulation,
mechanisms of bone destruction in cancer, anti-tumor drugs, mesenchymal and
germ stem cells in anti-cancer research, and circulating tumor cells.
