Panagiotis Liargovas is the Jean Monnet Professor in
“European Integration and Policies” at the University of the Peloponnese as
well as Head of the Parliamentary Budget Office at the Hellenic Parliament. He
received his BA degree from the University of Athens and his MA and Ph.D.
degrees in Economics from Clark University, Worcester MA. He has been a
Fulbright Scholar, a Bakalas Foundation Scholar, a Teaching Assistant Scholar
(Clark University), and a European Commission trainee (Brussels). His research
agenda is highly interdisciplinary, combining economics, banking and finance,
social issues and management and focuses mainly on two regions: the European
Union and Southeast Europe (including Greece).
Nikolaos Apostolopoulos is an assistant professor in
European Policies in Sustainability, Development and Entrepreneurship at the
University of Peloponnese and the Director of the Laboratory of European
Sustainable Development Policies. He also acts as a Scientific Advisor at the
Labour Institute of the General Confederation of Greek Employees (INE-GSEE). He
earned a Ph.D. from the Department of Economics, University of Peloponnese in
2014. He has participated in more than 15 funding initiatives of the European
Union. Among these initiatives, he was co-author of a report on the impact of
the Europe 2020 strategy on the Greek economy funded by the EU Structural
Funds. He is a co-author of a handbook focusing on Social Entrepreneurship in
Europe and co-editor in a collective volume on Entrepreneurship and the
Sustainable Development Goals. Furthermore, his research publications focus on
entrepreneurship and sustainability.
