Dr. Kaibalya Prasad Panda obtained a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, Shillong, India, in 2021. He received the Institute's Best Research Award during his Ph.D. and the Best Paper Award for one of his papers presented at the ICEPE 2020 Conference. From July 2013 to June 2017, he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, C. V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, India. He was a visiting scholar with the University of Warwick, U.K., from January to March 2019, funded through the Joint UK-India Clean Energy (JUICE) two-month exchange program scheme. After his Ph.D., he served as Ad-hoc faculty at NIT Andhra Pradesh from Oct 2021 to June 2022. Currently, he has been working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Technology, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India since Sept 2022. His research interests include reduced switch multilevel inverter design, new power converters, power quality control, and photovoltaic system applications. He has authored/co-authored over 10 IEEE Transactions and reputed journals/conferences and also filed two patents. Consecutively in 2021, 2022 & 2023, he has been listed in the World’s Top 2% of Researchers under the Energy category as per the Stanford University and Elsevier list. He is a regular Reviewer of several IEEE and IET Journals.
Dr. Ramasamy T. Naayagi received a bachelor’s (Hons.) degree with a gold medal in electrical and electronics engineering from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India, a master’s degree in information technology from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, India, the master’s (Hons.) degree with a gold medal in power electronics and drives from Anna University, Chennai, India, and a Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. She held various roles as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Professor in various institutions in India and the UK, from 2000 to 2006 and from 2010 to 2014. Since July 2014, she has been with Newcastle University, Singapore, where she is currently the Director of Education and an Associate Professor (Reader in Power Electronics) in electrical power engineering. Her research interests include power electronics for aerospace, electric vehicle applications, low-carbon electrical energy systems, and power electronic solutions to sustainability. She has also served as the Chair of the IEEE Power and Energy Society, Singapore Chapter from Jan 2019 to Dec 2020. She is an Associate Editor of the IEEE/CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems and received the Excellent Young Subject Editor Award for the year 2020. She is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Reviewer for the IEEE, IET, and many other international journals and conferences.
Ritula Thakur received her Ph.D. at Panjab University, her M.E. at Punjab Engineering College, and her B.E. at Punjab Technical University. She has worked as a Visiting Scholar at the National Peanut Research Laboratory, Dawson and Richard Russell Research Laboratory, Athens (USA). She is presently an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research. Her research interests include mainly Micro Grid and Smart Grid, Real-Time Modeling & Simulation of Power Systems, Embedded systems and Microcontrollers, Power Systems, PLC and SCADA, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in Agriculture, IoT and AI in Precision Agriculture, Quality Analysis and Detection Technology in Food Materials, Sensors, and Instrumentation.
Gayadhar Panda is a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, India and associated in various capacities as Dean of Academic Affairs, HOD, Department of Electrical Engineering apart from other Administrative Academic assignments as the Chair Persons/Member of the National and Institutional Level Committees. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Utkal University in 2007. He joined the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya as an Associate Professor in 2013, and was promoted to Professor in 2017. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of IE, and a Life Member of ISTE. His research interests include Distributed Power Generation using Renewable Energy Sources, Power Quality Assesment and Monitoring, Seamless operation of AC/DC microgrid with optimal power management, Power Electronics & Drives.
