Saad Ibnsouda Koraichi received his Ph.D. in developmental biology from the University of Toulouse III in 1993. In 1999, he received a National Doctorate in Biology from the Sidi Mohammed Bin Abdullah University in Fez. From 1990 to 1992, he served as a deputy assistant at the University of Toulouse. In 1995, he was appointed professor at the Sidi Mohammed bin Abdullah University of Fez. He served as Director of the Microbial Biotechnology Laboratory (2005–2019). He has been the Director of the Innovation City of Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University in Fes since January 2011. He is a permanent member of the Joint Council of Sidi Mohammed Bin Abdullah University (2010–2014). He is a member of several scientific associations (SGBM, BioDev, SSHA, SMCT, and ATBiotec), and he is President of the Moroccan Biotechnology Association (2015–present). From 2002 to 2005, he served as Secretary General of the local union office of the FST in Fes. His research work mainly involves the following fields: insect developmental biology (drosophila, olive fly), microbiology (microbial biofilms, conservation of cedar wood, and historical manuscript paper), and biotechnology (production of enzymes: lipolytic enzymes, cellulases, amylase, and improvements in olive oil extraction).
Dr. Songul Ulag is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Technology, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Marmara University. She received her Bachelor (Physics Engineering) degree in 2014 from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, and her MSc (Nuclear Research) degree from the same university in 2017. Subsequently, she earned her PhD in metallurgical and materials engineering in 2021. Her research interests include 3D printing, tissue engineering, corneal tissue engineering, and biomaterials.
Prof. Oguzhan Gunduz is the Head of the Department of Technology, Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering at Marmara University. He graduated from the Faculty of Technical Education, Metal Education, Marmara University, and earned his Msc from Marmara University, Institute for Graduate Studies in Pure and Applied Sciences, Metal Eğitimi (Yl) (Tezli), Turkey, in 2001. He completed his PhD at University College, London, UK in 2013. His research areas include pharmaceutical technology, biomaterials, nanomaterials, engineering, and technology.
Soumya El Abed is a professor at the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fes, Morocco. His research interests include scanning electron microscopy, molecular biological techniques, microbial biotechnology, quorum sensing and biofilms, bacterial biofilm, biophysics, and MIC. He has authored more than 50 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
