Housem Kacem graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of L'Aquila in 2019 and completed a Master's degree there in Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology in 2022. Currently, he is a doctoral student in Clinical Medicine and Public Health, focusing on neurobiology, neurodegeneration, CIPN, metabolism, insulin resistance, and diabetes.
Prof .Annamaria Cimini is a Full Professor in Biology at the University of L'Aquila. She has extensive experience and skills in the fields of neuroscience, cancer biology, stem cells, nanotechnology, and molecular medicine. She has been leading scientific activities and managing complex and excellent projects for more than 20 years, both nationally and internationally. She has published more than 130 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been cited more than 5000 times by other researchers. She is also an adjunct full professor at the Sbarro Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine Dept of Biology, Temple University, Philadelphia, USA
Prof. Dr. Michele d'Angelo obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Teramo, Italy. Currently, Dr. d’Angelo is an Assistant Professor of Neurobiology at the University of L’Aquila, Italy, where he is focused mainly on potential therapies for neurodegenerative diseases using in vitro and in vivo models. He has published about 60 scientific publications.
Vanessa Castelli, Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine, is currently an Assistant Professor in Pharmacology. Her research activity focuses on the study of potential therapeutic approaches for various pathologies currently without effective treatments, including neurological disorders, in particular stroke, Parkinson's, and neuropathic pain, using both in vitro and in vivo models.
