Tomasz Macig is a post-doc at the Department of Botany, Institute of Biology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences. He received his Ph.D. degree in biological sciences in 2022 and published 11 papers in various journals. Dr. Tomasz Maciag’s research interests mainly include biological crop protection; BCA; potato; soft rot; Pectobacteriaceae; microbiology; and synthetic consortia.
Edmund Kozieł is assistant professor at the Department of Botany, Institute of Biology, Warsaw University Of Life Sciences and enthusiastic scientist. PhD Edmund Kozieł has published over 22 papers in various journals. PhD Edmund Kozieł’s research interests mainly include plant pathogens, plant virus-interaction; plasmodesmata; callose; plant viruses; bioinformatic, potyviridae, resistance to plant viruses, microscopy, TEM , SEM, immunogold and immunofluorescent localization. Moreover, he also uses in his research bioinformatics analyses of transcriptome results, bioinformatics analyses of proteins and 3D structure visualization.
Katarzyna Otulak-Kozieł works as an Assistant Professor in Department of Botany, Institute of Biology, Warsaw University Of Life Sciences. Post-doctoral degree, PhD Katarzyna Otulak-Kozieł has published over 41 papers in various journals. Her research interests mainly include , plant pathogens, plant virus-interaction; resistance to plant viruses, plasmodesmata; plant viruses; bioinformatic, potyviridae, microscopy, TEM , proteins and signaling molecules localization, immunofluorescence staining; histology; plant cell biology; plant pathology; histopathology. She also conduct research in various use of different microscopical methods.
Sylwia Jafra is an enthusiastic scientist in bacteriology, plant-microbe interactions, and quorum sensing mechanisms and is skilled in microbiology, molecular biology, beneficial microbes, plant pathology, and biotechnology. She currently is an associate professor at the Laboratory of Plant Microbiology, Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG, University of Gdansk, Poland. Prof. Jafra received her M.Sc. in biology and Ph.D. in biological sciences from the University of Gdansk in 1994 and 1999, respectively. From 2001 to 2003, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Wageningen University & Research.
Robert Czajkowski is a microbiologist with a molecular biology background, working on the interactions between bacteria/fungi and plants; ecology and bacterial population dynamics during different infection stages, interspecies communication between plants and plant pathogens, lytic bacteriophages infecting plant pathogenic bacteria. He is a full professor at the Laboratory of Biologically Active Compounds, Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG, University of Gdansk, Poland. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Biology, University of Leiden in 2011. His specialties include instrumental analysis, microbiology techniques, cell culturing, clinical diagnostics, chromatography separation techniques, and bioinformatics techniques.
