Leonardo Henry Eusebi is an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences, Università di Bologna. Before that, he worked as a senior assistant professor of gastroenterology. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical oncology from the University of Bologna. His research focuses on Barrett’s esophagus, radiofrequency ablation, EUS, endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, and interventional endoscopy.
Prof.
Dr. Pietro Fusaroli received his degree in medicine at the University of
Bologna with full marks, cum laude in 1994. Since 2015, he has worked as an
associate professor of gastroenterology at the University of Bologna, Italy.
Additionally, he is also a director of the gastrointestinal unit at the
Hospital of Imola/University of Bologna since 2017. His main interest is in
endoscopic ultrasonography and conducts clinical research on various fields of
application of endoscopic ultrasonography, including enhancement with contrast
agents (Sonovue); and long-term follow-up of gastric lymphoma.
Prof.
Dr. Lorenzo Fuccio obtained his degree in medicine at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 1999. Starting in 2015, he worked as an associate professor of gastroenterology at the University of Bologna (Italy). Furthermore, he was a member of the Italian Society for Digestive Endoscopy (SIED) and the chair of the Research Committee of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) from 2022–2024. His skills and expertise mainly include gastric cancer, gastrointestinal neoplasms, biliary tract diseases, gastrointestinal endoscopy, gastroenterology, colorectal cancer, colon cancer, and helicobacter pylori eradication.
Antonietta D’Errico is a full professor at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences, Università di Bologna. She has been a coordinator of research projects sponsored by AIRC, the Italian Ministry of Universities, Bologna University, CNR, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna, Fondazione della Banca del Monte e Ravenna, and Progetti di Ricerca Università-Regione since 1990 until today. She collaborated in the conduct of clinical trials in the treatment of the recurrence of virus C hepatitis after liver transplantation. She has had more than 2000 histological diagnoses signed per year from 2000 until now.
Prof. Dr. Rocco Maurizio Zagari earned his medical doctorate.
from the School of Medicine, University of Bologna, Italy, in 1998 and
completed his degree of “Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.”
in 2013 at the University of Leeds, UK. Since 2021, he has served as a full
professor of gastroenterology at the Department of Medical Sciences and
Surgery, University of Bologna. He is the Head of the Gastro-Esophageal Organic
Diseases Unit of the S. Orsola Hospital of Bologna. His main interest is in
diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract, in particular gastro-esophageal
reflux disease and complications (Barrett's esophagus), dyspepsia, H. pylori
infection, autoimmune gastritis, and precancerous conditions and lesions of the
stomach.
