Eleni Sazakli completed her doctoral dissertation at the Lab of Public Health, Environmental Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Patras, Greece. Then, she earned a Master of Science in Environmental Analysis from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras, Greece. In 2012–2013, she received training in the field of Environmental Epidemiology in the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL), Barcelona, Spain. She is now a post-doctoral researcher (chemist) at the Laboratory of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of Patras, Greece. Her research interests include biomarkers, environmental toxicology, environmental epidemiology, health risk assessment, heavy metals, environmental pollution, water and air quality, environmental analysis, environmental analytical chemistry, water analysis, drinking water quality, and wastewater treatment.
