Prof. Mara Boschetti is an Associate Professor at the Endocrinology Unit, Department of Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties (DiMI), University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, and Director of Specialization School at the Department of Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties. Her teaching disciplines include Professionalizing Medical-Surgical Internship, Endocrinology and Metabolism Diseases, and Clinical Dietary Therapy II Degree Course—Dietics Endocrinology.
Prof. Dr. Diego Ferone is a Professor of Endocrinology at the Department of Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties at the University of Genova and a senior member of the Italian Endocrine Society (where he also served as Treasurer and is currently General Secretary). After the degree in medicine and the postgraduate degree in endocrinology and metabolic diseases at the “Federico II” University of Naples, he received his PhD in neuroendocrinology in Rotterdam at the Erasmus University. He has been involved in studies on the physiopathology and treatment of pituitary and neuroendocrine tumors, the physiopathology of somatostatin and dopamine receptors in the immune and neuroendocrine systems, medical therapy for acromegaly, Cushing disease, neuroendocrine tumors, and hypopituitarism. He has been among the organizers of the XXXI Congress of the Italian Endocrine Society (Genova 2005), of the First Italian Endocrine Oncology Workshop (Udine 2009), and of the First National Congress of Endocrine Oncology: from Bench to Bedside (Rome 2011), of the Master Up-to-Date in Neuro-Onco-Endocrinology (2010 Genova); Member of the POC of the 2010 and 2014 ENEA Congresses (Liege and Sofia); and of the 12th International Workshop on Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (Gubbio 2010), and President of the POC of the 2016 ENEA Congress in Milan (IT).
Prof. Manuela Albertelli has been a Research Fellow at the Department of Internal Medicine, Center of Excellence for Biomedical Research (CEBR), University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, since 2014. She graduated from the University of Genoa, obtained a Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery, and a Ph.D. in Cardiac, Vascular, Renal, and Metabolic Biology and Pathophysiology. Her research interests include sodium intake and hypertension.
