Luca Ermini, a researcher at the Luxembourg Institute of Health's Department of Cancer Research, delves into the world of genomics and its applications, including DNA sequencing and its integration with various omics data. His diverse research interests encompass evolutionary genetics, cancer evolution, and computational biology, enabling him to bridge the gap between these fields. He uses cutting-edge sequencing technologies, as well as advanced statistical and bioinformatics tools, to uncover the information encoded in genomes. He possesses extensive experience in sequencing and analyzing genomes from a wide range of species, including modern and ancient mammal specimens, plants, and both single-cell and bulk tumor tissue samples. Notably, he holds a strong interest and expertise in third-generation sequencing, further solidifying his expertise in the rapidly evolving field of genomics.
