Dr. Fabio Perrotta is currently working as a researcher at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli". He received his medical degree from the Second University of Naples. He specialized in respiratory diseases. His research interests include lung diseases, sleep disorders and sleep medicine, airway obstruction, pulmonary medicine, respiration disorder spirometry, asthma management, lung cancer bronchiectasis and asthma. He is the author and co-author of more than 60 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
Andrea Ronchi received his M.D. from Seconda Università
degli Studi di Napoli and his Ph.D. in Medical, Clinical and Experimental
Sciences from the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Naples, Italy. He
is currently a Researcher at the Department of Mental and Physical Health and
Preventive Medicine at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. His research
activity has focused primarily on pathology, molecular biology,
dermatopathology, and hematopathology.
Andrea Bianco is a Full Professor of Respiratory Diseases at the Department of Cardio-Thoracic and Respiratory Sciences, Monaldi Hospital, University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", Naples, Italy. He obtained his PhD Degree in Broncho-Pneumology from the University of Naples, Italy in 1993. He received the Specialization Degree in Respiratory Diseases in 1996. Then he completed his Scientific Research Fellowship at the Keele University/North Staffordshire Hospital Trust, Stoke on Trent, UK in 1996. From 1996 to 1999, he finished his Post-Doctoral Research Fellow as a Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher at the same university. His research interests include cancer therapy, lung cancer, asthma, lung diseases, prognostic markers, PCR, PET, screening and imaging. He is the author and co-author of more than 150 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
Alfonso Fiorelli is a Full Professor of Thoracic Surgery at the University “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Department of Science and Translational Medicine, Naples, Italy. He graduated with honors in Naples from the Second University of Naples Medical School in 1998. He obtained a certificate in Thoracic Surgery with honors in 2003. In 2006, he received his PhD in Respiratory Physiology and Pharmacology from the Second University of Naples. Since October 2021, he has been a Full Professor of Thoracic Surgery. His main research interests include basic research on lung cancer, interventional bronchoscopy, and minimally invasive surgery. He is the author and co-author of more than 200 publications in international peer-reviewed journals. He is a reviewer for several journals and sits on several editorial boards. He is a member of several national and international societies in the field of thoracic surgery and lung disease. He was awarded several national and international prizes for his research in lung cancer and emphysema.
Renato Franco is a Full Professor of Pathology at the Department of Mental and Physical Health and Preventive Medicine, Università degli Studi della Campania “L. Vanvitelli”, Naples, Italy. His research interests include immunohistochemistry, cancer biology, tumors, apoptosis, metastasis, PCR, cancer, cancer biomarkers, cancer diagnostics and cancer cell biology. He has authored more than 300 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
