Dr. Eduardo Torres graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the University of Puebla (1994) and as a Master in Biotechnology (1997) and Doctor of Science (2000) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). From 2000 to 2006, he worked as a Scientific Researcher at the Mexican Petroleum Institute in the area of petroleum biotechnology. In 2006, he joined Dr. CM Niemeyer's group at the University of Dortmund, Germany, as a postdoctoral researcher. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a researcher at the UAM-Cuajimalpa. He has developed basic and applied research projects with links to private industry. He has three granted patents and two pending patent applications. He belongs to the LIDA-CYTED Iberoamerican Network.
