Author Biographies

Dr. Md Mohosin Rana is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada. He obtained his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada. Dr. Rana has been honored with several prestigious awards and fellowships, such as the MEXT Scholarship (Japan), CFREF Fellowship (Canada), Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship (Canada), Eyes High International Doctoral Scholarship (Canada), Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (Canada), and Michael Smith Health Research Trainee Award (Canada). His teaching portfolio encompasses polymer chemistry, materials science, regenerative medicine, and bioengineering, while his research interests span biomaterials, polymer chemistry, bioengineering, regenerative medicine, and nanotechnology.
Hector De la Hoz Siegler obtained his B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada. He is currently an Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary, Canada. His research interests include the modeling, optimization, and intensification of bioprocesses and the development of novel green materials.
