Prof. Dr. Wei Huang is currently a Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics of Beijing Key Laboratory of Drug Delivery Technology and Novel Formulations. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a PhD in 2008. He was a research assistant at the School of Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, he is deputy director of the Department of Pharmaceutics and has a solid foundation and rich experience in drug delivery carriers, novel drug delivery systems and innovative preparations. As the director, he has presided over more than 10 projects. He has carried out pioneering research on gene delivery vectors in China and took the lead in developing chitosan nanoparticles for gene delivery. He has made important research achievements in gene delivery vectors, nano drug delivery systems and innovative preparations.
Prof. Dr. Zhonggao Gao was introduced by the Institute of Materia Medica as an international high-end talent in 2008 and served as a professor and doctoral supervisor. He recruited the first doctoral student of pharmaceutics in the history of Peking Union Medical College. Many doctoral graduates were awarded the honor of "Beijing excellent graduates". He has undertaken national and international projects. His research keywords include nanogel, drug delivery systems and Prodrugs.
Prof. Dr. Mingji Jin is an Associate Researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Bioactive Substance and Function of Natural Medicines, Beijing Key Laboratory of Drug Delivery Technology and Novel Formulations, Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Peking Union Medical College. She is mainly engaged in pharmaceutical research, with the research direction of nano-delivery systems. She has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund and the Union Medical College Graduate Student Innovation Fund; and participated in more than 10 research projects such as the "Major New Drug Creation" of the National Science and Technology Major Special Fund, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation project. She published 35 SCI papers and 11 core journal papers, applied for 6 invention patents, and obtained 3 authorized patents. Starting in 2020, she has participated in the teaching of the "Integrated Clinical Pharmacotherapeutics" course and assisted the project leader in training many doctoral students and graduate students. In November 2014, she won the second prize of the Jilin Provincial Science and Technology Award.
