Dr. Tomohiro Chiba currently works at the Department of Cytology, The Cancer Institute Hospital, Japan. He graduated from Keio University in 2001 and received his Ph.D. from the School of Medicine, Keio University, in 2005. He has worked on a novel therapy for neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs) such as Alzheimer’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and studied breast cancer and glioma at Georg-Speyer-Haus in Frankfurt from 2010 to 2012. He is currently conducting research on the pathology and cytopathology of thyroid cancer, breast cancer, gynecological malignancies, and brain tumors.
