Fei Wang is a Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Hebei University of Technology. He also holds a position as the executive deputy director at the Key Laboratory of Special Functional Materials for Ecological Environment and Information, Ministry of Education. He performed his research at the University of Michigan (USA) during 2015–2016. His main research interests include ecological and environmental functional materials, inorganic non-metallic materials, mineral functional materials, and solid waste resource utilization.
Yanbai Shen is a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor in the School of Resources and Civil Engineering at Northeastern University, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Toyama, Japan in 2009, and then worked as a researcher at Nagoya University, Japan until 2012. His current research fields are oxide semiconductor gas sensors, nanomaterials, sensors, and fuel cells using intermediate-temperature proton conductors, and mineral materials.
Xinhui Duan is currently an associate researcher at Hebei University of Technology. He received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology. He has undertaken five national-level projects and five provincial- and ministerial-level projects. He has published more than 20 high-level papers and authorized two invention patents. He is mainly engaged in the development and application of biomass carbon-based materials, as well as the resource utilization and functional utilization of industrial solid waste.
Sikai Zhao entered Northeastern University to study for a Doctorate in Mineral Processing Engineering in 2017. From December 2019 to December 2020, he conducted joint doctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley. In January 2022, he received a Doctorate in Mineral Processing Engineering from Northeastern University and stayed at the school to teach in the same year. His main research direction is the safe and efficient utilization of mineral materials and mineral resources. He hosted one basic
research funding project for central universities and participated in high-level scientific research projects such as the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation—Outstanding Youth Science Fund, the National Science Foundation (NSF), and TDK InvenSense. He served as the editor of the SCI journal Frontiers Review Editor in Materials—Ceramics and Glass, Sensors and Actuators B, and as a reviewer for SCI journals such as Chemical, Journal of Materials Science, and Membranes. He won the first prize in the Liaoning Province Natural Academic Achievement Award, the Shenyang Natural first prize in the Academic Achievement Award, the third prize in the Shenyang Natural Academic Achievement Award, and other awards.
Xiangxiang Chen is a lecturer at Zijin Mining College of Fuzhou University. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Shenyang University of Technology in 2012, his Master’s degree from Fuzhou University in 2015, and his Doctorate from Northeastern University in 2020. He served as a nationally jointly trained doctoral student at the University of New South Wales, Australia from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, he won the second prize of the Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Academic Achievement Award and the special prize of the Postgraduate Academic Forum Report of the Chinese Metallurgical Education Society.
Jinsheng Liang graduated from the Jilin University of Technology in 1987, received a Master’s degree from the Hebei Institute of Technology in 1990, and received a Doctorate in Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials from the China Academy of Building Materials in 1999. He is currently the deputy dean of the School of Materials at Hebei University of Technology, director of the Key Laboratory of Ecological Environment and Information Special Functional Materials of the Ministry of Education, director of the Solid Waste Resource Utilization and Ecological Development Innovation Center, director of the Hebei Provincial Solid Waste, and director of the Resource Utilization and Ecological Development Manufacturing Innovation Center. In 2007, he was rated as an outstanding expert in the provincial management of Hebei Province; in 2013, he was included in the Hebei Province Higher Education Institutions Innovation Team Leading Talent Cultivation Program; and, in 2018, he was selected as the Hebei Province Giant Plan Innovation Team Leading Talent. He has long been engaged in research on ecological and environmental functional materials.
