Dr. Zhen Zhao is currently a Professor at the China University of Petroleum and a Professor and Dean at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shenyang Normal University, Shenyang, China. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Northeast Normal University, in 1987, and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry and the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1993 and 1996, respectively. His research interests mainly focus on energy and environmental catalysis, rare earth catalysis, and catalytic new materials (catalysis for efficient conversion and clean utilization of oil and gas resources).
