Prof. Dr. Junmin Li currently works at the Institute of Plant Virology, Ningbo University. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Zhejiang University in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and obtained his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2011. His research interests include RNA viruses, RNA virus-host co-evolution, endogenous viral elements, RNA virome, and RNA virus discovery.
Prof. Dr. Xiangru Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Huazhong Agricultural University and a key researcher at the Pig Healthy Breeding Collaborative Innovation Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture (majoring in veterinary medicine), and a doctorate in agriculture majoring in preventive veterinary medicine from Huazhong Agricultural University. His current research is focused on the molecular pathogenesis and immune mechanism of animal bacterial infectious diseases, with particular emphasis on the molecular mechanisms and important drug targets of important nervous system infection pathogens that break through the host blood-brain barrier and induce central inflammatory damage. He has also conducted research of etiology and molecular epidemiology, contributed to the development of new vaccines, and helped to establish antibody detection methods for bacterial diseases (mainly Haemophilus parasuis and extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli). In his work at the diagnostic center of Huazhong Agricultural University, where his work focuses on animal diseases, he has contributed to the long-term development of clinical pathogen detection, isolation and identification, along with associated technical training.
