Dr. Lorenzo Santoro has been a Research Fellow at the Dipartimento di Meccanica, Matematica e Management, Politecnico di Bari, Bari, Italy since 2022. He received a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Bari Dipartimento di Meccanica Matematica e Management. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Mechanical and Management Engineering at the Politecnico di Bari in 2022. His research interests are cellular adhesion phenomena; mechanobiology; mechanotransduction; finite element modeling; porous structures mechanical behavior; additive manufacturing; soft matter mechanical characterization; nanoscale mechanical characterization; atomic force microscopy; visco-hyperelasticity; plasticity; inverse analysis; metaheuristic algorithms; and structural optimization.
Dr. Antonio
Boccaccio holds a MS in Mechanical Engineering (graduated cum laude)
(Politecnico di Bari, Italy, 2002) and a PhD in Bioengineering (Politecnico di
Milano, Italy, 2006). Since December 2019, he has been an Associate Professor
(ING-IND/15 Design Methods for Industrial Engineering) at the Politecnico di
Bari. In 2005, he was a Visiting Research Scholar at the Centre for
Bioengineering, Trinity College Dublin. His research interests are optical
techniques for reverse engineering, morphological optimization of biomaterials,
modeling and simulation of biomedical devices, and mechanobiological processes.
He authored more than 100 publications (61 peer-reviewed ISI journal papers)
and 1 European patent. He is a member of the Editorial Board of 3 internationally
reputed journals and serves as a reviewer for more than 50 ISI journals. In
2012, he was awarded the Fylde Electronics Prize for the best paper
published in 2010 in the Strain journal by the British Society for Strain
Measurement. He also ranked first (among 40 applicants) in a university
competition for post-doctoral fellowships held in the Politecnico di Bari.
Dr. Luciano
Lamberti is currently a Full Professor at the Dipartimento di Meccanica, Matematica e Management,
Politecnico di Bari, Bari, Italy. From 1998 to 1999, he was a Researcher at the
University of Florida. In 2001, he served as a Research Associate at the Illinois
Institute of Technology. His research interests are Structural Optimization, Experimental
mechanics, Optics, Characterization of materials, Biomechanics, Nanosciences,
and Nanotechnology.
Dr. Lorenzo Lo Muzio is a Full Professor and Director at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, Università degli Studi di Foggia, Foggia, Italy. He completed his Ph.D. studies at the Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli in 1996. His research interests are oral cancer; cancer stem cells; biomarkers; protein bioinformatics; protein–protein interactions; biomarker discovery; and precision oncology.
Andrea Ballini, DMD, PhD, is a Researcher and Professor at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Foggia, Italy. He is included in the TOP WORLD 2% SCIENTIST List for 2022 and 2023. From 2019 to 2022, he was an Adjunct professor of “Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology” and “Technical Applied Sciences”. From 2000 to 2021, he was a Clinical and Research Investigator at the University of Bari ALDO MORO. Doctor of Dental Surgery (University of Bari ALDO MORO, Italy), Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Orthognathodontics (University of Foggia, Italy), and Sexuality Medicine (University of Bari ALDO MORO, Italy). Stefania Cantore is a Doctor of Dental Surgery, Specialist in Orthognathodontics, and Specialist in Oral Surgery. He teaches a PG course in Implantology, and a 2nd-level International Master Course (120 ECTS) in “Advanced Oral Surgery and Dental Implantology”. He is a Lecturer and Invited Professor in Post-Graduate Courses at the School of Medicine, University of Bari ALDO MORO, Italy, a Visiting Professor at the University of Medicine, Tirana, Faculty of Dentistry (Fakulteti i Mjekësisë Dentare-FMD), Tirana, Albania, and a Visiting Professor at “City Unity College-Greece” (and affiliated Institutions). He is also a Visiting Senior Clinical Lecturer at BPP University, Faculty of Dentistry, Birmingham, UK.
