Dr. Abhinav Aggarwal is currently working as a researcher in the section of cardiovascular medicine at the Yale School of Medicine and is a resident physician at Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital. He has previously practiced as an interventional cardiologist in India since 2018. He completed a fellowship in cardiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, the premier medical institute of India, from 2015 to 2017. He completed his medical school at Maulana Azad Medical College in 2009 and a residency in internal medicine from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, India, in 2013. He was recently conferred with the Fellowship of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). He is a member of several organizations including the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. He is also a member of global cardiovascular societies like the European Society of Cardiology and the Cardiological Society of India. His areas of research include structural heart interventions, electrophysiology, intracoronary imaging and peripheral vascular diseases.
Anton Stolear, MD, is a cardiology Fellow at Yale New Haven Health, Bridgeport Hospital, CT. He
received his medical degree from Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy in the Republic of Moldova, where he completed training in non-invasive cardiology before moving to the United States.
Dr. Md Mashiul Alam is currently working as a medical officer at the National Heart Foundation and Research Institute, Dhaka. Since 2021, he has served as a resident doctor at the Department of Internal Medicine, Bridgeport Hospital/Yale University, CT, USA. Since 2018, he has been an Assistant Professor at Jahurul Islam Medical College. He holds a Ph.D. in cardiology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in 2018.
Dr. Swarnima Vardhan is currently working as a resident physician at Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital. She received her postgraduate degree in MD Anaesthesiology from Army Hospital, Research and Referral, Delhi, India. She gained further experience by working at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India. Subsequently, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pain at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi. She is committed to her cause of improving patient care and is a life-long fellow at the Indian Society for Study of Pain (ISSP), RSACP and ISA. She is a member of global pain associations like the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) and the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA). Her specialties include spine pain, joint pain, fibromyalgia, migraine, and neuropathic pain.
Dr. Sun-Joo Jang, MD, PhD is a physician-scientist in cardiology. He joined Yale School of Medicine as a clinical fellow in cardiovascular medicine with a T32-research grant at Y-TRIC. Dr. Jang finished his internal medicine residency at Asan Medical Center (Seoul, Korea) and Yale University/Bridgeport Hospital. He has a PhD in medical science and engineering (mechanical engineering) from KAIST (2012-2016). His thesis examined the development of high-speed, multifunctional optical coherence tomography (OCT). He continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School (Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, 2016-2018) and at Weill Cornell Medical College (Department of Radiology, New York Presbyterian Hospital, 2018-2020). His research interests include molecular imaging using SPECT/CT, PET/CT and intravital microscopy, intravascular imaging and physiology (OCT, IVUS, FFR), cardiac CT/MRI, immersive media (AR/VR/MR) and artificial intelligence/machine learning in medical imaging.
Dr. Stuart W. Zarich is the Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at Bridgeport Hospital, Connecticut, an executive member of the Yale New Haven Health Heart and Vascular System, and a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Stuart W. Zarich has expertise in treating chronic high blood pressure, heart failure, and coronary artery disease, among other conditions. His research includes cardiovascular medicine.
