Marymegan Daly received her B.S. (in 1995) and Ph.D. (in 2000), both from George Washington University. Currently, she is working as a Professor at the Ohio State University. Her areas of expertise focus on animal systematics and ecology. Her research program encompasses three interrelated topics: (1) describing the anatomical, taxonomic, and geographic diversity of actiniarian sea anemones, (2) testing hypotheses about the causes and effects of this diversity, and (3) exploring the data and methods used to describe and explain diversity.
