Dr. Leticia Cedillo-Barrón is a bacteriologist and parasitologist and a specialist in virology and immunology.  She obtained master's and PhD degrees in immunology, conducting research in malaria and lecturing at the National School of Biological Sciences (ENCB-IPN). She then joined the team of Professor Michael Parkhouse at the Institute for Animal Health in Pirbrigh (UK), first obtaining a fellowship from the Wellcome Foundation for two years. She then received her training in virology and molecular biology with the exotic viruses FMDV and ASF. She was then hired by the European Community at the same institution and for 4 years was involved in the evaluation of different targets of protective immunogens for the elaboration of potential recombinant vaccines. Currently, she is working at CINVESTAV. Her laboratory is interested in the characterization of early events involved in innate immunity against Dengue virus.
Moisés León-Juárez received his PhD degree in molecular biomedicine from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute. He is a professor at the Instituto Nacional de Perinatología (INPER). His research interests mainly focus on viral infection, viral replication, antivirals, and vertical viral infections.
