Prof. Maen Takruri received the B.Sc. and M.Sc.
degrees in electrical engineering from The University of Jordan, and a Ph.D.
degree in electrical engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney
(UTS), Australia, in 2010. At UTS, he was a member of the Centre for Real-Time
Information Networks (CRIN). In 2008, he served as a Visiting Researcher for
the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, at the University of
Melbourne, Australia. He was the Chairman of the Department of Electrical,
Electronics and Communications Engineering, AURAK. He is currently the Director
of the Advanced Technology and Artificial Intelligence Center (formerly ICONET), at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK). His research interests include signal processing and data fusion, estimation theory and target tracking, biomedical systems, renewable energy, machine learning, image processing,
and the Internet of Things.
