Prof. Dr. Yanxue Xue earned his Ph.D. degree from Peking University, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor at the National Institute on Drug Dependence and as a dual-employed assistant investigator at the Chinese Institute for Brain Research (CIBR). In his professional journey, he has significantly contributed to the field of addiction and PTSD research, focusing on the cellular and neural circuitry mechanisms that sustain pathological emotional memories. His innovative work in developing pharmacological and psychological strategies to eradicate these memories has been recognized nationally. Prof. Dr. Xue is also the chairman of the Youth Committee of the Drug Dependence Specialized Committee of the Chinese Society of Toxicology and the vice chairman of the Addiction and Brain Science Branch of the Chinese Association for the Prevention and Control of Substance Abuse. His contributions to the field have been honored with the Outstanding Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and he has been selected as one of the prestigious Boya Young Scholars of Peking University.
