Antonio Vitiello is a researcher at the Advanced Biomedical Sciences Department of the University of Naples Federico II. He is also a General Surgery Resident in Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and Surgery at the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Federico II. In addition, he is an Honorary Fellow in Bariatrics at the University College London. Antonio obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Naples Federico II in 2010 and his Doctorate in Biomorphological and Surgical Sciences at the Department of Advanced Biomedical Sciences, University of Naples Federico II in 2021. He has expertise in Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Hernia Surgery, Abdominal Surgery, General Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Cancer Surgery.
Giovanna Berardi is a PhD Student in the Advanced Biomedical Sciences Department at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. She obtained her Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bari Aldo Moro in 2005 and her Specialization in General Surgery from the University of Naples Federico II in 2021. She is the Councillor of S.I.C.O.B. (Italian Society of Obesity Surgery and Metabolic Diseases) and a member of SIC (Italian Society of Surgery).
Roberto Peltrini is an expert in mini-invasive and colorectal surgery. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Naples Federico II and holds an inter-university diploma in advanced laparoscopic surgery from Université Paris XI - Hôpital Antoine Béclère in Paris, France. Currently serving as an attending surgeon at the University Hospital of Naples Federico II, he is also a researcher in general surgery. He is actively involved in prestigious societies, including the Italian Society of Colorectal Surgery (SICCR), the Italian Society of Endoscopic Surgery (SICE), and the Italian Society of Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery (ISHAWS). With a publication record of over 80 international studies, he contributes to the scientific community as an editorial board member and reviewer for several esteemed medical journals.
Dr. Vincenzo Pilone currently
works as a Full Professor of General Surgery at the Public Health Department,
Naples "Federico II" University, AOU "Federico II"—Via S.
Pansini 5, Naples, Italy. He is the Director of the General Oncological and
Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit. He was graduated from Naples
"Federico II" University. He was the Head of the Simple Operational
Unit of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery at the Ospedali riuniti San Giovanni di
Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona, Salerno, Italy in 2012. He is an expert in bariatric,
colorectal, and abdominal wall surgery.
