Piero Pavone is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Medical and
Pediatric Sciences, University of Catania. He qualified to become an
Associate Professor of Pediatrics in 2012. He completed his medical
training at the University of Catania, Italy. He was trained during a
fellowship in New York (Cornell University Dott Trifiletti and later on
New Jersey University, Newark). His main research area is child neurology
and movement disorders. He has published over 350 papers in renowned
journals. He has served on the editorial boards of different scientific
journals.
Jerome R. Lechien is an Otolaryngologist (M.D, Ph.D., MS) from Foch Hospital (Paris) and CHU de Bruxelles (Brussels). He specializes in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery, rhinology, oncology, laryngology, and voice and reflux disease. He manages the research committee of Young Otolaryngologists of the International Federation of Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Societies (YO IFOS). He is a European Member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head Neck Surgery.
Manuela Ceccarelli is an Associate Professor in Infectious Diseases at the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the "Kore" University of Enna. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in 2012. She completed her specialty in Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the University of Messina in 2019. During her residency, she spent a year at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA. From 2020 to 2022 she was a Post-Doc at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine of the University of Catania. From 2022 to 2023 she was a Senior Researcher at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine of the University of Catania. She recently spent six months at University College Dublin to study the relationship between inflammation and cardiovascular disorders in people living with HIV.
