Dr. Debalina Saha has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Horticulture, Michigan State University, since 2019. She earned her B.S. and M.S. in Botany from the University of Calcutta in India (2006–2011) and a Ph.D. in Horticultural Sciences with a concentration in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida (2015–2019). Her research focuses on weed biology and management to support ornamental crop production in nurseries, landscapes, Christmas trees, and greenhouse industries. Her applied research involves both chemical and non-chemical methods of weed management. The main goal of her research is to improve current weed control methods and to develop new economical, effective, and environment-friendly weed management strategies.
