Mithun Santra is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He earned, from Panjab University, a B.Sc. in Bioinformatics in 2012 and M.Sc. in Human Genomics in 2014 and received his Ph.D. in Protein Engineering and Biochemistry from THE Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in 2020. His research interests include protein engineering-based therapeutics, and regenerative medicine (cell-free and cell-based).

Gary Hin-Fai Yam is a Research Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Corneal Regeneration Laboratory, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He attended the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Cell Biology. His research interests include corneal epithelium and stromal keratocytes and application in cell-based therapy for ocular surface disorders; stromal tissue engineering and bioscaffold: cell-tissue construct and applications; cell therapy for the treatment of ocular defects; cell reprogramming and differentiation; epigenetics; protein folding disorders; and molecular chaperone-assisted protein folding.
